About This Venue

86 Public is not your end-of-the-block pizzeria, nor is it that old school Nokia 3310 type bar. You know the type, those dodgy carpets, dark low ceilings, the kind of place that the weird uncle hangs out at. We aren’t about that.
What we are about is creating a place where you can easily bring one or two of your good work mates out for a business lunch, and then have a memorable night out on the weekend. Then still follow that up with the chilled day recovering from the night before on the weekends! Laid-back vibes ice-cold, hand-crafted cocktails in the sun, and some of the best food you can want for. It all seems pretty simple!

My first visit. I heard the rave. I saw a great menu on their site. They definitely get the cocktails right. These look good, they taste good. Pizza is doughy and not very well topped. It doesn't taste so good. It tasted a bit like frozen pizza. I could be wrong. But, that's the taste I got. I had a bolognaise. It came mixed up with the spaghetti. I haven't had a bolognaise presented to me like that before. Also. Very bland. Maybe, I got them on an off day. The service was great. Waitrons are very friendly.

Friday Lunch at 86 Public Fourways was a great experience. I couldn't decide between their Mushroom burger or the Bacon and cheese burger as they both looked so delicious. I went for that mushroom burger and it didn't disappoint!! I found their cocktail special makes trying out different cocktails easier, but the stand out cocktail for me was their Whiskey sours! I would definitely recommend 86 Public Fourways to any lunch goers who want to experience a nice Friday lunch vibe as they chow down.

Fantastic cocktail bar, restaurant and local hotspot. Clean location, friendly staff and simply great food. Decent pricing so it's a perfect place to come back to!

Great service, staff was attentive always checking up on us, food was delicious and filling, cocktails were affordable and tasted great! Loved the cinnamon mojito. Hubbly also available. Will definitely be back. However the music was loud and conflicting with the live band in the neighbouring restaurant.
